Brief recently cannot work with feeds which redirect to different subdomains. A security error is thrown.
This is a very widespread issue - here's the list of security errors (and thus URLs) in just my RSS feed list that this has happened on:
Security Error: Content at http://www.euobserver.com/?rss=1&sid=9 may not load data from http://euobserver.com/?rss=1&sid=9.
Security Error: Content at http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/feed/atom/ may not load data from http://feeds.mattcutts.com/mattcutts/uJBW.
Security Error: Content at http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/atom.xml may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/amDG.
Security Error: Content at http://googleblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/MKuf.
Security Error: Content at http://blog.outer-court.com/google/rss.xml may not load data from http://blogoscoped.com/google/rss.xml.
Security Error: Content at http://www.wolf-howl.com/?feed=atom may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/Wolf-howl.
Security Error: Content at http://www.webguerrilla.com/feed/atom/ may not load data from http://www.gregboser.com/feed/atom/.
Security Error: Content at http://www.shoemoney.com/feed/ may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/ShoeMoney.
Security Error: Content at http://www.webpronews.com/index.xml may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/webpronews/all.
Security Error: Content at http://rssnewsapps.ziffdavis.com/extreme.xml may not load data from http://feeds.ziffdavis.com/ziffdavis/extremetech.
Security Error: Content at http://www.phoronix.com/phoronix-rss.php may not load data from http://feeds.feedburner.com/Phoronix.
In particular, this happens with all Feedburner feeds.
The solution isn't to change to the redirected URLs, as potentially there's a static main one they give and they redirect to different locations, but keep a central redirecting URL that keeps it pointed to the right place.
It would be great if this could be fixed :)
Thanks
Ian
Hello?
Is this being looked into?
Re: Hello?
I'll look into it soon, although when I gave it a quick check when you first posted it, I didn't experience any problems.

Re: Hello?
I'm using Firefox 3 beta 5 by the way, in case that matters.
Re: Hello?
Ian, do you still see this bug in the latest Brief's beta running on Firefox 3 RC1?

Re: Hello?
Sorry for the late reply - I've just tested this with Brief 1.2 beta 3 and Firefox 3 RC 2 with the URL http://www.euobserver.com/?rss=1&sid=9 and it worked ok.
