How to filter the feeds?

Is there a method to filter the feeds using CSS?
Any one can help?
Thanks,,,,

Re: How to filter the feeds?

What kind of filtering do you wish to do? Just what do you need Brief to do that it doesn't do currently?

Re: How to filter the feeds?

Hi,
I like Brief alot! But I want filtering to. I mean. I only want to see the feeds where the word 'Europe' is in the title. You understand? Is that possible? Cant find the feature anywhere.

Re: How to filter the feeds?

RobP, Brief has no feed sorting. You need to use Firefox's Places (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) to sort your Live Bookmarks. How you sort your Live Bookmarks in Places will be reflected in Brief.

Just remember Brief can only check one folder in your bookmarks for Live Bookmarks. If a folder being checked for Live Bookmarks has sub-folders, Brief will check all those sub-folders as well for Live Bookmarks.

Re: How to filter the feeds?

I don't know how using CSS but try this workaround:

  1. Add your RSS feed to Brief.
  2. Right click the feed name in the Brief sidebar and select properties.
  3. Copy the Location URL, for example, Newsweek's is http://feeds.newsweek.com/newsweek/TopNews
  4. Go to http://www.filtermyrss.com/
  5. Paste yor copied Location URL in the form and fill out the rest of the form to set your filters.
  6. Right under the form buttons is a RSS Filter Result Link URL. Copy that URL, for example to filter for Obama, my link result was http://www.filtermyrss.com/?URL=http://feeds.newsweek.com/newsweek/TopNe...
  7. Go back to the Brief sidebar
  8. Right click the feed name in the Brief sidebar and select properties.
  9. Paste in the new URL in the Location box.

From now that RSS feed will be filtered.
