It would be nice to have an option to show the number of unread items in the title of the tab (and thus also automatically in the title of the window and thus even in the taskbar) as well as update the title whenever the number of unread items changes.
I know you can see it in the status-bar, but i do have so many extensions installed, that my statusbar is kinda bloated. some people may also have their statusbar hidden.
Thank you!
Cheers.
p.s.
it would also be nice to change the favicon to a special one, when there are unread items. should be pretty simple when using gBrowser.setIcon as you do or a html:link which works just fine in xul. html:link also has the advantage, that a bookmark to the Brief xul-file will have the correct icon.
Re: [Feature Request] Number of unread items in tab-title
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Many users, including myself, don't keep up with new items and have tens or hundreds of unread items at all times. I feel that showing the unread counter in the tab title would cause unnecessary noise for these users.
Thanks for the tip about html:link. I didn't know this, I am going to use it instead of gBrowser.setIcon().
