Display number of unread items in the upper button?

Hi!
Is it possible, to display the number of unread items in the upper button like it is in the button on the status bar?

This won't be bad, and it's possible since Gmail notifiers does so, but please, don't make this default.
By the way, did you meant icon in the navigation panel or title of tab with Brief?

I´ve ment the icon in the navigation panel.

Why isn't the status bar not enough?
