Feed window goes blank

I've been using Brief for a while now with no problems. Just recently, midway through checking my feeds, the window went blank. I tried reloading the page, but it didn't help. I closed the window and reopened it and the feeds came back for about two seconds before the window went blank again. The toolbar on the left still shows up, as does the toolbar on top of the window. What could be happening?

I've experienced this once before.  What's happening is something in one of your feeds is crashing Brief's feedview.  It could be a script, a media object (Flash, Quicktime, mp3), or something.  Try rebooting Brief and then immediately change to another folder or feed.  Then you can check each feed in Brief until you find the one that blanks out Brief's feedview.  Once you do find the culprit, post the name here and I'll see if it's RSS feed is valid or if something needs blocking via AdBlock Plus or NoScript.

i have the same problem. :( i only have the 3px of the frame of every feed entry. i'm here at school and i'm not able to install firefox addons right now (1 year ago i installed brief.). so i cant reboot or reinstall the addon. :( i dont think, thats the problem occurred due to an entry because i marked all as readed. :(
any suggestions? :)

i have the 1.2 version of Brief.

Patrick, you're using Firefox 3?  If you're not wanting to upgrade to Firefox 3.5.3, then you should at least upgrade Brief to version 1.2.3.  Upgrade and then report back if you're still having problems.

i cant...i dont have the rights to upgrade firefox...but a few days ago it was working.. :(
will it works, if i dont the 1.2.3 at home and then i replace the addon file here? :D

Think I'm having the same problem, only I was playing around with the settings at the time. My feeds are still visible under Firefox's bookmark list but have vanished from Brief's left hand sidebar/window.
Have already tried disabling/enabling then uninstalling and reinstalling Brief but still can't get them to reappear. Re subsribing to the feeds does not work either.
It has always worked fine and I haven't added any new feeds for several months (before this problem).

EDIT: nevermind, just reinstalled again then deleted everything, now it's back to normal

So basicly you need to delete all RSS entries (-> rightclick contextmenue) of that Site.

Happend to me now, Brief knows the count of unread items, even shows right page count and I can switch pages but its all useless because instead of all the feed items I see just a very short gradient and then a blank page.
I don't want to remove all the items or lose the unread info, restarting Firefox doesn't help, is there a solution to this? I've got some important stuff in the rss, I can't lose it because of some stupid bug :(

the same for me,same feed.
just mark the feed as red, and then empty it...
after that, brief shuld work correctly
