Hi!
I have a slightly-unusual Brief configuration, and apparently it's triggered an unpleasant bug...
First, my config.
Check feeds for updates every 30 minutes = true
Show a notification when new items are found = true
Open Brief in a new tab = true
Open items in new tabs = true
Remove downloaded items = false
Store no more than 100 items = false
Feeds folder = Bookmarks Menu -> RSS
Show 15 items per page
Sort oldest items first in unread view = false
Mark items as read after I see them = false
Show statusbar icon = true
Always highlight the current item = false
NO feed appearance customization, NO about:config tweaks, no other changes - just what I've shown...
My RSS feeds:
PortableApps.com News
Giveaway of the Day
Gizmo's Best-Ever Freeware
Gizmo's Hot Finds
Gizmo's Daily Tech Treats
LifeHacker: Hack Attack
The Daily WTF
Now, for the problem...
When I click an unread item, it opens in a new tab, but it also marks the feed item as read. This completely ignores the "mark items as read after I see them" setting... it doesn't matter whether I single-click, double-click or middle-click (clicking the mouse wheel) the RSS item; it's marked as read. The only workaround I found was right-clicking the RSS item, then clicking "Open in new tab" from the popup menu...
