Since Firefox 3.6b1 was released, I figured I should go ahead and make this thread to prevent a flood of "Please make Brief compatible with Firefox 3.6!" threads. So go ahead and use this thread for talking about Brief on Firefox 3.6 and what you'd like to see in Brief on Firefox 3.6.
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
The only problem i came across so far using FF 3.6b with Brief is that the option to Open items in a new tab does not work. When i click on a news headline it just loads the page inside the existing tab.
Can anyone else confirm it?
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
Please make Brief compatible to Firefox 3.6 Beta1 as quickly as you can. It is the best program of that kind on mozilla. I know nothing better.

Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
Install Add-on Compatibility Reporter. He will allow you to turn on Brief even if he's not compatible. On my PC, it works perfectly.
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
Hi,
and how does it work? I also installed Add-on Compatibility Reporter but it still does not work. Please tell me what to do.
Thanks
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
I second that... same issue here
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
sorry, same issue as Spyros.G
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
Confirming the same problem.
Also, the scheduled updates of the feeds seem not to be happening - I had my time set to every 30 minutes - but the time on the Brief tooltip is now at 56 minutes. Manually updating is fine.
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
With the Add-on Compatibility Reporter installed it does work, almost.
The only thing that doesn't work for me (mentioned by the first commenter) is that feeds no longer open in new windows.
I've not spotted anything else not working properly yet.
Edit: I've just tried doing various things in Brief with the Error Console open.
When selecting some feeds (not all feeds) I get this message:
"Error: Permission denied for <resource://brief-content> to call method Location.toString on <>."
Here is an example feed where this happens:
http://feedproxy.google.com/OfficialGoogleMobileBlog
This doesn't seem to cause any issues, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.
Mod Edit: Please don't double-post. Edit your last post with more information unless there's been a significant amount of time since your last post in a thread (provided nobody else has posted since you posted last).
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
I, too, am having the issue with Brief not opening articles in a New Tab in FF 3.6b1
One workaround I've found, however, for those that use (or want to use) Tab Mix Plus add-on (or other add-on that allows you to Lock a tab), you can set TMP to Lock/Protect/Freeze a tab by CTRL+Click [on tab], SHIFT+Click [on tab] or ALT+Click [on tab]. Doing this causes all new links to be opened in a new tab. This solves the "Open in new tab" problem, however it still will not mark items "Read" automatically, but you can use the keyboard shortcuts or manually mark items "Read".
Re: Brief and Fx 3.6
So what's the current status on this ? Any ETA ?
I think it will be more usefull to have a beta relese now than to wait for the final release
